Did you know Laos is the most heavily bombed country in the world, per capita? More than two million tons of bombs were dropped on Laos between 1964 and 1973. An estimated 30 per cent of them did not detonate, and continue to kill and injure. They also prevent communities from growing enough food and accessing schools, hospitals and clean water.

MAG has been clearing the deadly legacy of the bombing in Laos since 1994, saving lives and building safer futures for local communities.

At our visitor centres you can...

• Learn the full story: how the bombs got there, how they affect people and how MAG clears them.

• Watch films: including the acclaimed documentaries Bomb Harvest and Surviving the Peace, both featuring MAG's work in Laos and also the film “Blood Road” which follows the journey of ultra-endurance mountain bike athlete Rebecca Rusch and her Vietnamese riding partner, Huyen Nguyen, as they pedal 1,200 miles along the infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail through the dense jungles of Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

• Virtual Reality: Experience the work of our clearance teams with our Virtual Reality Headsets

• Photo Galleries: View incredible images, including features on scrap metal collection and all-female clearance teams from award-winning MAG photographer, Sean Sutton.

• Join the MAG family: buy a t-shirt, a copy of our DVD or a unique set of postcards.
