Cháo Sườn Chú Chen is an excellent choice for cold days. Not only does it provide warmth through every bowl of hot porridge served, but the restaurant is also special because each dish carries a story from the owner, Mr. Chen, creating a sense of closeness and uniqueness. In addition to the signature porridge menu, there is also a diverse dim sum menu, which adds another highlight to the restaurant. The shrimp dumplings are filled with firm shrimp meat, and the dumpling skin is soft and transparent. If you are looking for a place that offers warmth along with an interesting dining experience, Cháo Sườn Chú Chen is a destination you should not miss.

Personally, I would rate this place 4/5. The texture of the porridge is not too watery and not too thick, but perhaps because of the nature of the pork rib-based porridge I ordered, it was a bit too oily and a little on the bland side. However, I think this is how porridge is supposed to taste, and anyone who prefers a stronger flavor can add a little salt, pepper, or even fish sauce to season it to perfection. Price-wise, it is very affordable.
