The famous French mayonnaise is simple yet not so easy to prepare. A home-made mayonnaise will give a great twist to your shrimps, cold meat or sandwiches.
Step 1. Mix the yolk of the egg with the mustard, salt and pepper.
Step 2. Add 1 table spoon of sunflower oil and start mixing with a whip.
Step 3. Whip the preparation doing '8' while adding gradually the oil, little by little.
Step 4. After some time the mayonnaise gets shape, you can then add a bit of ketchup for color.
Tips: take out the egg from the refrigerator in advance to have the egg at room temperature during the preparation. For seafood you can add a bit of cognac at the end for the flavour.
